About Fazlin
Fazlin has over 19 years of experience as an Optometrist. She trained at The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, The Royal Berkshire Hospital and with Dollond & Aitchison in Reading.
She graduated with a BSc Honours in Optometry in 2004 from Manchester University, following a BSc Honours in Ophthalmic Dispensing with Management in 2001 from Anglia Ruskin University. She undertook further training at The Institute of Optometry in London and an independent practice in Kensington.
A firm believer in continued education, Fazlin has continued studies by attaining a certificate in Lifelong Learning with the London School of Economics (LSE), with additional certificates in Glaucoma, Cataracts, Minor Eye Conditions and Leadership from Cardiff University. Her latest achievements were post-graduate courses that awarded her a Professional Certificate in Glaucoma and distinction in Therapeutics. Additionally, she is working towards a Masters in Clinical Optometry. Outside work, she carries out voluntary service within her local school and religious community, and is an active member and secretary of her Local Optical Committee.
Fazlin worked at an independent opticians within Western Eye Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital for 10 years, where she learnt how dry eye disease can be caused by a multitude of factors. Thereafter, she joined a multi-disciplinary practice where she enjoys applying her extensive knowledge and expertise to provide her patients with top quality care and advice, for a better quality of life. We are delighted to have Fazlin as part of the Dry Eye Centre team.
